Who receives your information?
Birdwatchers uses the information you submit to manage beta testing interest and venue suggestions. The business contact is Will at [email protected]. Copies of form notifications also go to Richard at [email protected], who helps manage this website.
Beta interest list
We collect your email address and record your consent to receive emails about beta testing and the game’s launch. We rely on your consent and use it for those purposes only. Joining the list does not guarantee a testing place. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Will using the address above.
Venue suggestions
We collect the contact and venue details you enter so we can review your suggestion and reply. Please do not include sensitive personal information. With your consent, we use these details to consider a potential working relationship and respond to your enquiry. You can withdraw that consent by contacting Will.
Security and storage
Submissions are stored securely and emailed to the addresses above. Our hosting and email providers process information to operate these services. For spam prevention we record submission times and a non-reversible security identifier derived from your network address. We do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Venue enquiries are kept for up to 12 months after the latest contact unless an ongoing relationship requires them. Beta interest details are kept until you withdraw, the purpose is complete or a maximum of 24 months, whichever comes first. Spam-prevention records expire after 48 hours. Operational backups may take longer to expire through their normal cycle.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw beta email consent, by contacting Will. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
